Description
Hi guys, another teasy pic for you. The full thing is coming soon, I promise! Here are the pouches - they are based on a pouch that holds one of my hard drives, a G-Drive Mini if you are interested.
1) These are the most technically difficult part of the costume- figuring out which order to sew them in was a nightmare. The whole thing is reinforced with cardboard which is sewn in as well, section by section so as to keep the shape.
2) There's the ribbon and elastic (sewn before adding the felt lining), the velcro for the bottom part of the flap (sewn before lining but after the ribbon) the velcro for the top part of the flap (sewn as the very last piece after ribbon, elastic and cardboard have all been added) and the side pieces (hand sew after everything else).
3) This is a badge created using my awesome fiancee's badge maker- just some silver paper and some purple paper made from an envelope- rather a neat effect I think.
4) The elastic slips neatly over the belt, providing not only an accurate-to-comic-book-Hawkeye utility pouch, but also a neat place to put small change, keys and mobile phone.
